Bear Awareness (CAN) – Train the Trainer

This is a Canada-compliant, I-CAB recognized safety training course intended for all people who recreate or work in bear country. Topics covered in this training include bear identification and behavior, basic defensive measures, bear encounters, and safety practices. This course meets the classroom requirement for occupational safety training. It also includes a proficiency checklist that employers can use to perform a practical evaluation. Upon completion, trainees will be able to download and print a certificate or wallet card to show that they have completed Canada Bear Awareness training. NOTE: Once you have completed the trainer certification module, you are certified for life as a trainer. It is your responsibility to ensure you are periodically re-certified for the courses you teach.
